So I'm back again now from my trip last week to the WWERC '08 in San Francisco.
These are the sort of activities that make me convinced that we mean what we say when we invest in the Education and Research communities as this shows that we mean it in earnest. We gather people from all over the world in a sort of UN for Edu & Research and with hardly any hardselling statements that is the norm with IT Vendors...
I had the pleasure of having the Educational Director of Southern Denmarks University with me and also the CIO of Denmarks Technical University...This was also a great way of getting a better understadning of their needs as we were together for a few days...
Although I got a glimpse of SF it wasn't much...on sunday I took a bus tour for a quick overview...and saw the Golden Gate bridge...on a windy and wet sunday...all the other days monday till friday (apart from thursday) I was stuck insie the Westin St. Francis for the conference...
A good event but hard work and it took till today to feel normal again...
