If we'd still have been living in Poland the possible family home could have been Moniaki where my father lived during most of the war. Now the house has been moved to an open air museum in Janowiec as the house represents a typical manor house in the traditional style of the Polish Szlachta class.
I once went there in the mid 80's for my cousin Kuba's wedding - I'd like to take my own kids for a trip soon..if someone could translate the polish I'd be happy to hear what it says...
Actually I could imagine my self as a Laird..only I'd have to have the essentials of everyday modern life like: DVD, Plasma TV's and surround sound...mind you I could have made do with a second hand car like a Bugatti Type 35 from 1928...
